Who are you?

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made
Psalm 139:13-14a

Did you know each of us were designed, unique, by God?

This world would have us believe that we are here only by chance.  They teach that we are a product of a single cell organism that, over millions of years, spontaneously transformed from one species to the next, until finally, humans were evolved.

Let's take a look at a few fundamental questions about life from the perspective of this world:

- Who am I?

Well, according to this world, I am simply the product of millions of years of evolution.  I am here only by chance.

- Where did I come from?

According to the world, I came from a giant explosion in space millions of years ago.  After many more billions of years, the fabric of space will compress back into a state of anti-matter, until once again it explodes, and we start all over.

- What is my purpose in life?

From the world's perspective, I have no purpose.  We simply live our lives however it makes us happy.  If we are "good", we will be sure to "make the world a better place" for the next generation after us.

How horrible is that perspective?  We teach this to our kids, and we wonder why they are off doing the things they do.  We wonder why all of the sudden our kids do not respect people or rules.  We wonder why people are so depressed all over the world.  They have no purpose.  They have no standard for right and wrong.  They simply do whatever feels good at the moment.

Can I tell you something?  You are not here by chance.  You did not evolve from a single-celled organism.  You were designed and created by God, and you have a very special purpose that He has given to you.  You were fearfully and wonderfully made, with love, by God.

You are Loved!
